About NextGen Code
From “my tech guys” to your AI team.
NextGen Code Company was founded in Lubbock, Texas in 2018. We spent years building software for businesses that needed a technology partner they could trust. Now we bring that same hands-on, plain-spoken approach to the biggest technology shift of our careers: AI.
Our mission
Make AI pay off for the businesses that keep Texas — and America — running.
Big companies have whole departments figuring out AI. A 20-person HVAC company, a three-location dental group or a regional distributor doesn't. They have owners and operators who are already stretched, a stack of software that doesn't talk to itself, and a steady stream of vendors promising AI magic.
We exist to be the team those businesses are missing: people who will analyze how the business actually runs, tell the truth about where AI will and won't help, and then build what's worth building — automations, AI agents, dashboards, custom software and apps — with the results measured against a real baseline.
Strategy without engineering produces slide decks. Engineering without strategy produces expensive software nobody needs. We do both, under one roof.
Our story
How we got here.
2018
Founded in Lubbock
A group of experienced freelance developers combined forces after years of building relationships in the Texas tech community. The idea was simple: any idea a partner has can become real with the right knowledge and code.
Feb 18, 2018
Tango comes online
The team built Tango, an in-house AI assistant that helped run our online presence and think through client problems — years before AI was on every pitch deck.
The build years
Becoming everyone's “tech guys”
Healthcare scheduling for a community health center, an on-demand booking platform for a moving company, operations systems, iOS and Android apps, and Shopify stores. Clients started calling us “my tech guys” — the extension of their company.
Across Texas
Four cities, one team
The team grew across Dallas, Austin, Lubbock and Corpus Christi, working with businesses statewide and nationwide.
2026
NextGen Code becomes an AI consulting firm
Same builders, new focus. We now help small and mid-sized businesses find where AI will make or save them money — then build it, measure it and support it. And we moved home to nextgencode.com.
What we believe
How we work with every client.
- 01
ROI before code
Nothing gets built without a baseline, a target metric and a payback estimate. If we can't make the math work, we'll tell you.
- 02
You own everything
Your code, your data, your prompts, your accounts. We document as we go, and you can take it in-house whenever you want.
- 03
Humans stay in charge
We design AI to draft, sort, summarize and suggest — with people approving anything that's high-stakes or customer-facing.
- 04
Security and privacy by default
Approved tools, least-privilege access, vendor review and data handling rules are part of the build, not an afterthought.
- 05
Plain English
Clear proposals, clear reports, clear invoices. You'll always know what we're doing, why, and what it's worth.
- 06
Small cycles, real progress
Working improvements every couple of weeks beat a big-bang launch every time. You see value early and steer as we go.
Where we are
Texas roots, national reach.
Team members in four Texas cities. On-site when it helps, remote when it's faster, and available to businesses anywhere in the U.S.
Our work
A few things we've built.
An on-demand booking platform that lets a moving company sell online
First Due Movers wanted customers to be able to buy moving services online. We built an on-demand web platform that sells moves online and gives staff scheduling, in-person quoting, and analytics in the same system.
Web and mobile scheduling that lets clinic patients wait from home
The Community Health Center of Lubbock wanted patients to wait from home instead of in the waiting room. We built a web and mobile system for booking appointments, patient profiles, pre-visit questions, and clinic forms.
Redesigned business systems that reduced work for every VetGraft employee
We studied how VetGraft runs day to day, then redesigned its internal and external business systems as web and mobile software and built its official website. The client reported less work and time spent for every employee.
