An on-demand booking platform that lets a moving company sell online

First Due Movers wanted customers to be able to buy moving services online. We built an on-demand web platform that sells moves online and gives staff scheduling, in-person quoting, and analytics in the same system.

The project

The challenge

First Due Movers wanted people to be able to buy moving services online, on demand. Moving has traditionally been sold over the phone or through an in-person estimate, which ties every sale to staff availability and business hours.

The company also served customers in person, so a simple online checkout wouldn't be enough. The team needed one system that could take orders online and also help staff schedule appointments, quote in-person customers, and see how the business was performing.

What we built

We built First Due On Demand, a custom web application where customers choose and purchase moving services online. The same platform runs the staff side of the business.

Staff use it to schedule appointments and create price quotes for customers they meet in person, so online and in-person sales run through the same system.

Advanced analytics are built in. Once customers can buy without talking to anyone first, those analytics become the team's clearest picture of demand.

The result

  • First Due Movers reported strong sales growth from customers who chose to buy moving services online.
  • Customers can buy moving services online, on demand.
  • Online orders, in-person quotes, scheduling, and analytics run on one platform.

Where AI takes it next

How we'd extend this product with today's AI — the same thinking we bring to every client roadmap.

  1. 01

Instant quotes from a video walkthrough: the customer films each room on their phone, a vision model inventories the furniture and boxes, estimates volume and crew hours, and drafts a price for staff to approve.

  2. 02

Demand forecasting for crews: a model trained on past bookings and seasonal patterns, such as month-end and summer peaks, predicts busy days weeks out so the team can line up crews and trucks before the calendar fills.

  3. 03

A 24/7 booking agent on the website and over text that answers questions about services, availability, and pricing from the company's own policies, then books the job directly into the schedule.

  4. 04

Plain-English analytics: staff ask "Which services sold best online last month?" and get an answer and a chart from the platform's own sales data, without building a report.
