The 12th edition of Imperium, this year came with Beyond Karma, an event stimulating the social awareness in the community by helping students imbibe a culture of inclusive growth. Designed by Samaritans, the social initiatives club of MDI, in partnership with Coca-Cola India, Pearson Education and Charities Aid Foundation, the event is centered on the Support My School (SMS) campaign initiated by Coca-Cola, which aims at increasing the reach of education in rural and semi-urban India. Goutam Kumar, Secretary for Samaritans and MBA student at MDI who conceptualized and executed Beyond Karma commented, “The event is a case-study which highlights some of the key concerns of the campaign. A total of 106 teams registered themselves from all over the country. The top 6 teams that came up with the most relevant, novel and viable solutions were selected to present their case studies.”
